Teller, a 26-year-old who played for Virginia Tech, was originally selected by the Buffalo Bills in the fifth round of the 2018 draft. He played eight games in Buffalo before former Browns GM Joey Dorsey traded for Teller and a seventh-round pick, sending fifth and sixth-round pick back to Buffalo. The trade wasn't an instant success — it took Teller awhile to earn his starting spot — but ever since he's blossomed into a talented run-blocker who fits right into the Browns' run-heavy approach.
Teller was slated to be a free agent after this season, and would have drawn a lot of interest on the open market. Instead, the Browns locked him up for the long haul, making him the third-highest paid guard in the NFL, behind Brandon Scherff of the Washington Football Team and Joe Thuney of the Kansas City Chiefs.
