The 19-year-old was with the Northern Irish team last season, impressing in the National Superstock 1000 class with three podium finishes in the final three rounds.

One of those was a thrilling win at Donington Park while he also proved his worth when he made his debut in the Supersport class at Assen.

And with Alistair Seeley quitting Tyko Suzuki to return to BSS next season, Jacobsen jumped at the chance to partner last season's championship runner-up Brookes.

"It's a dream come true to ride for Tyco Suzuki in BSB and especially to announce it today [on Thanksgiving Day]," said Jacobsen.

"The team gave me an opportunity in British Superstock and Supersport and put my career on the map. I just can't wait to get out there now and test the Superbike, and I know my team-mate Josh will help me a lot.

"The championship is one of the best in the world; the riders are always battling and that is cool, I am looking forward to being a part of it. I'd like to thank team boss Philip Neill and Phil Dashey from Tyco for their support."

Team manager Philip Neill said: "After agreeing terms with Josh during September it feels like it has taken a long time to finalise our British Superbike line-up. However now that it's done I am really looking forward to next season with a very exciting line up.

"PJ has been groomed as a motorcycle racer from a very young age and his unique all-American style of enjoying a bike sliding underneath him will be a major factor in his future success in the superbike category."
