Bucks become latest NBA team to shutter facilities before Disney World reboot
The NBA will soon have 22 teams converge on Disney World to play out their season. Some of those teams won’t have the same ability to prepare as the others.
The Milwaukee Bucks joined that group on Sunday when they closed down their practice facility after receiving results of coronavirus tests held on Friday, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The number of positive cases is not yet known.
The Bucks’ facility reportedly won’t reopen before they head south to Orlando on Thursday.

The Bucks join a group that includes the Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat in shutting down their practice facility over coronavirus concerns. The Nuggets were the first to do it last week, followed by the Clippers on Thursday and the Heat on Friday.
Each of those teams has a varying degree of hope to win what will be a highly unusual NBA playoffs, but the Bucks are clearly the most consequential. The team holds an NBA-best 53-12 record, and have the second-best MGM odds to win the championship at +280, only behind the Los Angeles Lakers’ mark of +250.
The NBA’s revived season remains scheduled to kick off on July 30.
