Bukayo Saka sends two-word message after public storm with Arsenal legend
Arsenal star Bukayo Saka has made a tongue-in-cheek remark as the attacker posed with Gunners icon Robert Pires. The Frenchman sparked a debate in recent months after making a declaration when comparing the vice-captain with Manchester City's Jeremy Doku.
The 50-year-old was one of the key members in Arsene Wenger's squad as Arsenal tasted Premier League success, including the record-breaking invincible's season.
However, Pires divided opinion within the Arsenal fanbase after he was questioned over whether he would have Saka or the City winger. The former France international got himself on the wrong side of the supporters after claiming: "Bukayo still lacks a certain level of consistency and experience, especially in the big games.
"Perhaps this season, especially in the Champions League, he will show a more convincing face than last season when it counts. For example, in my opinion Jeremy Doku from Manchester City is a bit better because he is technically stronger, has better dribbling skills and is more imaginative."
The England international has enjoyed a fast start this season, contributing five assists already in six Premier League outings - scoring once. He was on the scoresheet against Paris Saint-Germain during Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Ligue 1 giants as he continues on from his red-hot form last campaign which helped Arsenal in the title race.
Saka, 23, is already within three assists of last year's top-flight total and is 15 goals behind his tally in the Premier League as Mikel Arteta's side look to challenge in England's top division as well as the domestic and European cup competitions. After the win over PSG, the Hale End academy product posted a picture alongside Pires - with their differences seemingly settled.

Speaking ahead of the North London Derby, Pires went back on his initial claim to talk up Saka's qualities. He said: "Ahead of [the north London derby] I want to clarify that I think @bukayosaka87 is an amazing player and I have huge respect for him.
"A while ago I was asked to compare him to another player. I said the other player had better skills in some areas.
"This does not mean the other player is better than @bukayosaka87. I genuinely think @bukayosaka87 is better and a fantastic number seven."
