Bukayo Saka’s season with Arsenal ended prematurely after he was forced out of the game against Wolves with an injury.

The Gunners took Saka off immediately after going 4-0 up at the Emirates Stadium after he had received a number of blows from the visitors’ rough challenges.

At the start of the second half, the 21-year-old received lengthy treatment on the pitch before carrying on for a few minutes.

Reiss Nelson replaced Saka on the hour mark of the final game of the season.

While Arsenal’s campaign wraps up on Sunday, the winger has been called up for England’s Euro 2024 qualifiers next month.

The Three Lions face Malta and North Macedonia on June 16 and 19, games which Saka may now be a doubt for.

Gareth Southgate had already left Raheem Sterling and Mason Mount out of his squad due to injury while fellow attacker Ivan Toney is banned.

Jarrod Bowen and Morgan Gibbs-White missed out on selection but could be in line to be Saka’s replacement if needed.
