Bukayo Saka tells Thierry Henry exactly what he wants to hear on Arsenal vs Man City title race
Bukayo Saka says he believes this season will be the one where Arsenal finally pip Manchester City to the Premier League title.
The Gunners have gone close in the last two years, falling five points behind Pep Guardiola's side in 2022/23 and then just two points back on the champions in 2023/24. After making a number of acquisitions this summer, Mikel Arteta's side look set for another serious challenge at the top of the table.
Arsenal were back in Champions League action on Tuesday night as they hosted Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain in north London, and came out on top thanks to goal from Kai Havertz and Saka. The likes of Mikel Merino - who made his debut from the substitutes' bench against PSG - as well as Riccardo Calafiori and Raheem Sterling have bolstered the squad, while David Raya's loan move from Brentford was also made permanent.
The Gunners went toe-to-toe with Manchester City just over a week ago, coming away from the Etihad Stadium with a valuable point following a 2-2 draw which threatened to boil over as tensions came to a head. Saka provided an assist in that game, and his fine form continued with another devilish delivery against PSG, which evaded everyone to give the hosts a second goal.

After the game, Saka was asked by Arsenal icon Thierry Henry about the race for the Premier League title, and whether this year would finally be the year the red half of north London was celebrating.
On CBS Sports' coverage of the Champions League clash, Henry asked Saka: "Do you think this season is the season for the title? Do you think it is important this year to win the title?"
Saka replied: "I don't want to put too much pressure on us but I do think this is the year. I think we've been close the last two years and yeah, we're getting closer.
"But yeah, this hopefully will be the year."
It was certainly the answer to the question the former Gunners star was hoping to hear, as he replied: "True captain, I like that. I like the way you've been speaking tonight."
