The Poland forward netted just after the hour-mark in a 1-1 draw with lower league MSV Duisberg in a friendly.

Lewandowski was joined in Pep Guardiola's youthful side by David Alaba and Rafinha.

Holger Badstuber also appeared after a long-term injury with most of Bayern's main players continuing to be on holiday following Germany's World Cup success.

Bayern can look forward to welcoming back World Cup winners Manuel Neuer, Philip Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Jerome Boateng, Thomas Muller and Mario Gotze when the action begins for real.

The victorious international stars have been granted an extension to their break from club duties so that they can fully recover from the excursion to Brazil.

Bayern begin their defence of their Bundesliga title against Wolfsburg on Friday, 22 August.

Juan Cuadrado is not of interest to Bayern Munich, the club’s sporting director Matthias Sammer has insisted.

Reports over the weekend claimed that the German champions were going to be involved in a ‘bidding war’ with Barcelona for the Fiorentina winger.

However, the Bavarian outfit’s board member has claimed that rumours of their interest are completely unfounded.

“It’s not true,” he told Sport 1.

“The rumours of our interest in the Colombian are not true at all.”
