Burnley boss Scott Parker wary about Miron Muslic's Plymouth Argyle
The formbook might suggest otherwise but Burnley boss Scott Parker is not expecting an easy game when his promotion-chasing side take on bottom-of-the-table Plymouth Argyle at Home Park on Wednesday night.
Third-placed Burnley are unbeaten in their last 14 Championship matches since losing 1-0 away to Millwall on November 3 and are three points behind leaders Leeds United. Argyle, in stark contrast, have gone 13 league games without a win and the gap between them and a position safety is beginning to widen.
It will be a third successive home match for the Pilgrims under their new head coach Miron Muslic, following a 1-1 draw with Oxford United last Tuesday and the 1-0 defeat by Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.

Parker said: "This ain't going to be an easy game. A new manager comes in, I think he has had two games now. Where are they are in the league, and how they have done on current form, I really take no reference to that
"If we don't turn up on Wednesday night with the right attitude, the right mentality, this will prove a very tough game for us. So as always we need to be fully aware and we need to approach this game like we have approached the majority of games this year to give us the best platform to go and win.
"I suspect an aggressive (Argyle) team, a team that are wanting to try and cause us as many problems as they can in their home stadium and we need to be fully aware, which we will, and us to impose ourselves on this game like we have done for the majority of this year."
Parker has come up against Muslic before while he was briefly in charge of Club Brugge during the 2022/23 Belgian Pro League campaign and they drew 2-2 away to city rivals Cercle in February 2023.
The Burnley boss said: "In terms of the new coach what's come in, I expect them (Argyle) to come and give us a game. His teams in Belgium were aggressive, wanted to try and put you under pressure and came with a real intensity to their game. So I suspect that's the way it will look this game.
"Away games become a little bit more open because the home team want to try and impose themselves. I think this game will be intense for us."
