Paddy McCorry's stock continues to rise following a devastating knockout win on Friday night.

The Belfast fighter sent opponent Tye Palmer sprawling across the canvas after landing a big right hand during their Cage Warriors clash in London.

The middleweight contender is quickly making a name for himself, enhancing the burgeoning reputation of the Fight Academy Ireland gym he trains out of.

McCorry - who recently starred on the UFC's Ultimate Fighter series - told Combat Sports UK: "I feel absolutely fantastic. I never really got out of first gear. I am just glad the hard work pays off.

"The Ultimate Fighter experience has brought me on massively. It has improved every aspect of my game and given me so much more belief in myself. And more belief in my coaches and my team.

"I just feel I am at a completely different level now."

McCorry says he would love to feature on a Cage Warriors card in Belfast, or potentially challenge for the middleweight title against champion Dario Bellandi.

And after his Ultimate Fighter experience, he is confident the UFC will come calling eventually.

"I believe so. I believe I left a good mark on the Ultimate Fighter. I fought two great fighters and I gave a good account of myself," he said.

"In both fights I wasn't out of my depth. It was about showing my level and it was about getting fights under my belt. I have no doubt I will be in the UFC."

As for his next fight under the Cage Warriors banner, McCorry said: "I would just love to fight on Cage Warriors Belfast if they are going there. If not, Dublin will do.

"But just whatever they have for me. If they keep lining them up, I will keep knocking them down. If the belt comes, the belt comes. If the UFC comes, the UFC comes. I am just enjoying my fighting at the minute.

"I don't know if the title fight will be next. It is up to Cage Warriors to decide if I am ready. I am only 5-1 now so I am still a baby in this game.

"I am still just getting started. But I do believe I am a level above."
