Cameron Carter Vickers Celtic injury latest as Brendan Rodgers confirms blow
Brendan Rodgers has confirmed Cameron Carter-Vickers will miss tomorrow's clash with St Johnstone.
And the USA international is also a major doubt for Tuesday's blockbuster against Borussia Dortmund. Football Scotland told earlier today how CCV was posted missing from training at Lennoxtown as he nurses a toe injury. Carter-Vickers wasn't involved in last week's Premier Sports Cup win over Falkirk. And it remains to be seen how long the stopper will be out of action as Celtic assess his fitness ahead of their Champions League showdown in Germany.
Rodgers said: "He'll miss tomorrow. He's just got a pain in his big toe in the joint there. We'll just have to look at it in each sort of game really. He's been playing with it for a little while but we've got to try and manage it now because he was in pain in the Bratislava game. Hopefully it will settle down quite quickly and we'll see how it's at for Tuesday.

Asked if he was confident the centre-back would be fit to face Dortmund, Rodgers said: "It's difficult to tell. The concentration is on this game, really, and then we'll see where he's at over Sunday and Monday."
Meanwhile Rodgers confirmed that Alistair Johnston is back fit and available for selection, adding: "It's great [he's back]. The Falkirk game gave us a chance to recover one or two of the players that had little niggles, like I said before the game. It was an opportunity for other players to come in but, yeah, he's trained all week and been good."
