The Carabao Cup fourth round has been drawn by Peter Schmeichel and Dion Dublin, and one all-Premier League affair has quite simply stolen the show.

Manchester United vs Aston Villa was the final third round clash to take place. A busy second half saw six goals go in, with Manchester United emerging 4-2 winners.

Schmeichel and Dublin were then tasked with pulling the teams out of the ballot at Old Trafford. And they did not disappoint, randomly selecting Liverpool to travel to Manchester City in the fourth round.

The game will pit two of Europe’s best teams against each other, although both Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola will likely rest some of their best players for the match.

Of course, Liverpool and City went head-to-head for the Premier League title last season, with City emerging victorious.

The draw also includes some other intriguing matches. Wolves will host League Two Gillingham at Molineux.

Southampton, who have just appointed Nathan Jones as their new manager, will take on Lincoln City.

Nottingham Forest face a tough test as they travel to Championship promotion hopefuls Blackburn Rovers.

Fourth round draw includes the ‘Eddie Howe derby’

There’s also the ‘Eddie Howe derby’ as Newcastle take on Howe’s former club Bournemouth at St James’ Park.

Manchester United have an easier draw than their rivals City as they will host Burnley. However, Clarets boss Vincent Kompany will be looking to cause an upset.

MK Dons, who beat Morecambe 2-0 in the third round, face Premier League Leicester City.

And finally, Brighton travel to Charlton after knocking out Arsenal with an impressive 3-1 victory at the Emirates.
