Carlisle United will discover their first three Papa John's Trophy opponents this week.

The Blues are set for a busy Thursday which will see their league schedule unveiled, as well as two cup draws being conducted.

And here's everything you need to know about the first of those draws:

When is the Papa John's Trophy group stage draw?

The Papa John's Trophy group stage draw will take place on Thursday, June 23.

It will be held at 11:30am and is available to view on Sky Sports News.

What teams will be in the Papa John's Trophy group stage draw?

Every League One and League Two team will enter the competition at this stage.

That means that the following teams will be involved:

League One: Accrington Stanley, Barnsley, Bolton Wanderers, Bristol Rovers, Burton Albion, Cambridge United, Charlton Athletic, Cheltenham Town, Derby County, Exeter City, Fleetwood Town, Forest Green Rovers, Ipswich Town, Lincoln City, MK Dons, Morecambe, Oxford United, Peterborough United, Plymouth Argyle, Portsmouth, Port Vale, Sheffield Wednesday, Shrewsbury Town, Wycombe Wanderers

How will the Papa John's Trophy group stage draw work?

The televised draw will only see the invited clubs drawn into their groups.

League One and League Two sides have alread been placed into pre-determined and regionalised groups prior to this.

Carlisle United are in Group G with Barrow and Fleetwood Town.

There will be one academy team in each group, and Carlisle could face any of the eight invited northern academy teams.

When are the Papa John's Trophy group stage ties?

The group stage will begin from August 31, with full round dates below:

  • Group games - August 31, September 21 & October 19

  • Second Round - November 30

  • Third Round - December 14

  • Quarter Final - January 11

  • Semi Final - February 1

  • Final - March 19

Carlisle will play two of their group games at home.
