Football stands will be ringing with the sounds of Christmas Carols on Sunday.

Inverclyde Christian Initiative, in association with Greenock Morton FC, is holding the 10th annual Carols at Cappielow concert.

For the Initiative, Chris Jewell said: "This is a free event and we would encourage everyone to wrap up well as December can be cold, and join us at this special time of year for what must be by far the largest open-air carol service in Inverclyde."

The event will be supported by the Riverside Youth Band and the Port Glasgow Boys Brigade Bugle Band, and with special guests the St Andrews Shanty Singers.

The event runs from 4pm until 5pm on December 15 and there will be tea and biscuits from 3.30pm.
