‘Carpool Karaoke’ Returns With Style … Harry Styles!

Harry Styles has been promoting his new self-titled album all week on The Late Late Show With James Corden. The British buddies have done fun sketches, and Harry performed some of his new songs and even took over hosting duties for half of one show. Although, the whole week was leading up to Thursday night when Harry joined James for a brand-new “Carpool Karaoke.”

Harry had done “Carpool Karaoke” once before with his One Direction bandmates, but this time he was sitting shotgun. The two started by singing Harry’s new hit, “Sign of the Times.” It was obvious they put a lot of emotion into the performance, and afterward, Harry let James know that singing that song often brings tears to his eyes. Harry said, “It makes me cry when I perform it sometimes. … It makes me quite emotional,” before adding, “in like a cool way.” James obviously got a pretty good laugh at Harry’s explaining his crying as “cool.”

The guys sang some other songs, like Harry’s “Sweet Creature” and Outkast’s “Hey Ya!” James brought up Harry’s wardrobe, saying that he can wear anything and make it look good. The two then started sharing outfits. James would put on a shirt, then Harry would make it look cool by wearing it. James and Harry also reenacted some classic rom-com scenes, like from Pretty Woman. Harry said, “I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.” James then wiped some fake tears from his eyes as he said, “That was good.”

While this joy ride, unfortunately, had to come to an end, their love for each other was endless. The British BFFs ended the ride with a killer duet of Diana Ross and Lionel Richie’s classic, “Endless Love.”

The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on CBS.
