England’s World Cup group stage concluded against Wales on Tuesday, with the Three Lions’s 3-0 victory setting up a last-16 knockout clash against Senegal.
It took a while for Gareth Southgate’s side to make the breakthrough, going in 0-0 at the end of the first half. However, they came out sharper and more incisive in the second half with two quick-fire goals, which ultimately sent Wales crashing out of the World Cup.
