Celtic beat Rangers to equal Ibrox club's all-time trophy record after Scottish Cup triumph

Celtic have won the Scottish Cup after a dramatic late goal against Rangers at Hampden.

It was an afternoon of slack attacking play, broken momentum and stuttering efforts but it was eventually sewn up in the 90th minute when Hoops sub Adam Idah came up trumps to slot home beyond Jack Butland after the goalkeeper had spilled a Paulo Bernardo effort. There was no hint of offside as the Irishman had timed his run perfectly and it was enough to ensure manager Brendan Rodgers keeps up his Scottish Cup record and tie up the Double.

The result means Celts - who also won the Premiership title by eight points last weekend - have now equalled their rivals' all-time trophy haul.

The Light Blues won the Premier Sports Cup to take their tally to 118 but Celtic's Double makes them tied on 118 having begun the campaign on 116.
