Celtic Champions League potential opponents confirmed as Hoops learn full pots
Celtic have learned all their potential Champions League foes ahead of tomorrow evening's draw from Monaco.
The Hoops are in pot three for the coming draw with the new 'League phase' set to debut for the first time at the European top table. The traditional group stage has been ditched and Celts will play EIGHT opponents with four games at home and four away in the revamped set-up.
Most of the clubs had been formally qualified but after games this evening, the final four teams were confirmed and now all four pots have their selected names ready and waiting to be pulled from the bowl.
Brendan Rodgers' side will be guaranteed to face off against some top heavyweights in their eight matches but they will also take on other teams in their own pot - three - as well as from pot four.
To secure qualification to the next round they'll have to place in the top 24 with teams one to eight finishing directly in the last 16 while the remaining sides will battle it out in a playoff to make the knockouts.
