Legendary Celtic manager Jock Stein's birth certificate has been unveiled after what would have been his 100th birthday.
National Records of Scotland's (NRS) family history website ScotlandsPeople hold official records from some of the most important events in people's lives such as births, marriages and deaths.
A new set has been released of people who were born 100 years ago, married 75 years ago and died 50 years ago.
Among them is the birth record for Stein, who famously led Celtic to be the first British team to win the European Cup in 1967.
Their triumph against Inter Milan at the Estadio Nacional in the Portuguese capital led the squad to be historically known as the Lisbon Lions.
The records show that John Stein was born on October 5, 1922 at 5.50pm at 339 Glasgow Road, Hamilton.
Veronica Schreuder, an archivist at National Records of Scotland, said: “The release of new records on ScotlandsPeople is always exciting for researchers and the birth, marriage and death records now added to the site will help many people find out more about their family history.
“Each year’s records contain a wealth of information for those just starting to map out their family tree and for those seeking to branch out their understanding, from the comfort of their own homes.”
