Celtic named club Borussia Dortmund 'should beat' as managing director counts Champions League chickens
Borussia Dortmund "should beat" Celtic in their Champions League tie when it comes.
That's the view of cocksure sporting director Lars Ricken who insists BVB should be coming out on top against the Hoops as well as a number of their different opponents this season .Dortmund will take on Brendan Rodgers' men on October 1 in their second League Phase clash of the tournament. And while it is indeed set to be a difficult tie for the Scottish champions, Ricken appears to be counting the club among the so-called easier opponents for the Bundesliga giants who will also square off against the likes of Real Madrid and Barcelona.
"We’ve had a great journey – now we’re going on the next one," he told Thuringische Landeszeitung. “We want to reach the round of 16, whichever way we go. Every game and every goal is important for that.

“After that, as we have seen for ourselves, nothing can be ruled out. Brugges, like Celtic Glasgow, Sturm Graz, Dinamo Zagreb and Shakhtar Donetsk, are among the opponents BVB should beat.”
Dortmund played in last season's Champions League Final only to narrowly lose out to Madrid.
