Celtic, Rangers, Aberdeen and Motherwell have discovered when their Premier Sports Cup semi-finals will take place.

The Hoops square off against the Dons while the Light Blues and Steelmen go head to head in a bid to earn their place in the first showpiece finale of the season. It was already known both games would take place at Hampden on the weekend of November 2 and 3 but now it has been confirmed that Celtic and Aberdeen will play first with their clash on Saturday, November 2 with a 5.30pm kick-off time.

Rangers and Motherwell will play one another the following day, Sunday November 3, at 3pm.

Celts saw off difficult competition yesterday afternoon with Falkirk giving it a go at Parkhead, leading 2-1 at half-time only to be defeated 5-2 at the final whistle.

Aberdeen, meanwhile, found it easier against lower league opposition when they beat Spartans 4-0 at Pittodrie. Earlier in the weekend Gers saw off Dundee in their first game back at Ibrox 3-0 to make the semi-finals.

Motherwell narrowly pipped Dundee United 2-1 thanks to Lennon Miller's late penalty at Fir Park.
