Munster have named their side to take on Toulouse in the quarter-finals of the Champions Cup on Saturday.

Peter O’Mahony captains the side with Stephen Archer starting at tighthead prop on his 247th Munster appearance. Archer moves level with Billy Holland in second place on the province’s all-time list of appearance holders, behind Donncha O’Callaghan (268).

Mike Haley starts at full-back with Keith Earls and Simon Zebo on either flank.

Damian de Allende and Chris Farrell form the centre partnership with Conor Murray and Joey Carbery in the half-backs.

Josh Wycherley, Niall Scannell and Archer pack down in the front row with Jean Kleyn and Fineen Wycherley in the engine room as Tadhg Beirne remains on the sidelines.

O’Mahony, Munster academy man Alex Kendellen and Jack O’Donoghue complete the starting XV.

Flanker Jack Daly is among the replacements and in line to make his European debut on his sixth Munster appearance.

Julien Marchand boost for Toulouse

Meanwhile, Toulouse are boosted by the presence of captain Julien Marchand for their Champions Cup clash at the Aviva Stadium.

Marchand missed the round-of-16 clash with Ulster but will take his place in the front-row on Saturday.

They are, however, without Charlie Faumuina, as Dorian Aldegheri starts at tighthead and David Ainu’u takes his place among the replacements.

Les Rouge et Noir have also opted against starting Selevasio Tolofua and Anthony Jelonch, with the athletic Thibaud Flament and Francois Cros getting the nod. Alongside Rynhardt Elstadt, they form a potent lineout unit in the back-row.

The power will come from Emmanuel Meafou, who joins Rory Arnold at lock, while Joe Tekori is on a powerful-looking bench.

Behind the scrum, France stars Antoine Dupont and Romain Ntamack once again combine at half-back, with Pita Ahki completing an outstanding playmaking unit.
