Rafael Bastos was forced off early during Cluj's victory over Brasov on the weekend, and he is Paulo Sergio's main injury concern. Rui Pedro is expected to deputise for the Brazilian, but Sergio does not have any further worries.

Fatih Terim does not have any fresh injury concerns ahead of the game at Cluj, and is expected to name the same starting line-up from the weekend.

Paulo Sergio: "It is very important that we adapt to the conditions of the match and do not just play a particular system. Possession does not matter as it is the scoreline at the end of the match that counts, and we want to win. If the game ends in a draw then neither team will be happy."

Fatih Terim: "It is important that we are adventurous and we go for the win. All sorts of things can happen here, but hopefully we will play well and not make it easy for our opponents."

Cluj have won just two and lost six of their 10 home games in Europe excluding qualifying games.

Galatasaray have taken just one point from their last nine Champions League group games away from home.

CFR Cluj completed fewer passes against Galatasaray (50) than any team in any Champions League game previously analysed by Opta.

In each of their four European campaigns (including this one), Cluj have won their opening group match and failed to win any other matches. Their previous three campaigns have seen them win one game, draw one and lose four. So far they have won one, drawn one and lost one this time around.

Galatasaray have won none of their last six European games (W0 D2 L4).

Cluj didn’t manage a single shot on target against Galatasaray, their goal being scored by the Turkish side’s Dany Nounkeu.

Galatasaray have won just one of their last 10 Champions League games (W1 D3 L6) and lost six of the last eight.

Cluj have scored four goals, despite having only fired in five shots on target in the competition.
