Champions League draw: Who will Man City face in the group stage today?
Manchester City suffered Champions League Final heartbreak last season, and will look to use that pain to go one better this time around as they learn their group stage opponents today.
The European Cup is the one trophy to have eluded Pep Guardiola so far in Manchester, and so it proved again as a Kai Havertz goal earned Chelsea a 1-0 win over City in Porto last season.
City have shown faith in Guardiola by signing £100million Jack Grealish, and are working on trying to add Harry Kane for an even bigger transfer fee in order to complete his attack.
With the Champions League group-stage draw set to be held on Thursday, here are the potential opponents for Man City fans to watch out for in Pots 1-4...
Who can Man City face in the Champions League draw?
Pot 1: Villarreal, Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, Lille, Sporting Libson (Chelsea, Manchester City)
Man City are seeded in Pot 1, so will not face any of the other teams.
Pot 2:Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, PSG, Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund (Manchester United, Liverpool)
Man City cannot be drawn against Man United or Liverpool given Uefa rules state two teams from the same association cannot face each other at this stage.
That means City will face one of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, PSG, Sevilla or Dortmund.
Pot 3: FC Porto, Ajax, RB Leipzig, Atalanta, Zenit, Benfica, Shakhtar Donestk, Salzburg
Man City will be able to face any of the teams from Pot 3.
Pot 4: Club Brugge, Young Boys, AC Milan, Malmo, Wolfsburg, Sheriff, Besiktas, Dynamo Kyiv
Man City will be able to face any of the teams from Pot 4.
