Real Madrid have won the European Cup a record 13 times, but Los Blancos will be up against it to extend that advantage this season as they prepare to learn their group stage opponents.
Los Blancos reached the Champions League semi-finals last term, but were well beaten by eventual winners Chelsea and are lacking the transfer funds to seriously strengthen an ageing squad.
Having won this competition three years in a row during his first spell as Real coach, it is never wise to bet against Zinedine Zidane lifting this famous trophy - but it will take some doing this time around.
