Champions League group stage draw: What time does it start, what TV channel is it on and who can my team get?

What is it?

The draw decides which group each of the 32 teams that qualified for the Uefa Champions League will compete in. Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester United will all be part of the draw. 

When is it?

It takes place today, so Thursday 30 August.

What time does it start?

It begins at 5pm BST.

What TV channel is it on?

The draw will be livestreamed on Uefa.com and live coverage will begin on BT Sport 2 at 4:30pm.

Which teams have reached this stage?

Apart from the four English teams, these are the others that qualified for the draw: 

Spain: Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia

Germany: Bayern München, Borussia Dortmund, Schalke, Hoffenheim 

Italy: Juventus, Napoli, Roma, Internazionale Milano

How does the draw work?

The clubs are divided into four pots.

Pot one includes the defending champions, the Uefa Europa League winners and the champions of the six highest-ranked nations. Pot two, three and four are decided based on club coefficient rankings.

Pot one Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Lokomotiv Moscow. 

Pot two Borussia Dortmund, Porto, Manchester United, Shakhtar Donetsk, Napoli, Tottenham, Roma.

Pot three Schalke, Lyon, Monaco, CSKA Moscow.

Pot four Club Brugge, Galatasaray, Inter Milan, Hoffenheim.

Liverpool, Valencia, Viktoria Plzeň, Ajax, AEK Athens and Young Boys's pot will be announced once the remaining play-off places are determined. 

Where is the final being played this year?

The final will be played at Atletico Madrid's home - the Estadio Metropolitano in Madrid on June 1 2019.

What are the latest odds on the Champions League 2018-19 winner?

Manchester City currently stand as favourites to win the tournament come June, at 5/1. Juventus and Barcelona at both at 6/1 odds, with PSG and Bayern Munich at 7/1. Holders Real Madrid follow at 8/1.
