After being put in to bat, T&T posted 188 runs for the loss of six wickets, with Evin Lewis hitting 70 off 35 balls and Darren Bravo making 63.

The match was headed for a thrilling end with the Titans needing to score 36 from the final three overs, when rain struck, forcing the match to be abandoned.

South Africa's Titans score of 153/6 was six runs short of the par score using the D/L method.

The result leaves both sides with a chance of joining Chennai Super Kings in the semi-finals.

Brisbane Heat's match against Hyderabad in Motera did not even start as rain initially delayed proceedings before it was called off.

The original one-hour delay was followed by a pitch inspection at the Sardar Patel Stadium, with the no result meaning Hyderbad have six points from four matches and cannot escape Group B to reach the semis.

Brisbane's interest in the knockout stage was long ended, with the Australians only on two points.
