FORGOTTEN Rangers midfielder Juninho Bacuna looks set to be heading for the English Championship.

The out-of-favour Ibrox midfielder is on the edge of a deal to join Birmingham City.

The Blues are keen on taking the Dutchman back to English football are very limited playing opportunities in Glasgow.

The Brummies - who are struggling in 18th in the Championship - will not be able to match what Bacuna earns at Rangers.

However, Herald & Times Sport understands that a deal is close to being agreed.

It's believed that there will be no fee involved in the transfer, although, Rangers have secured future clauses as part of the deal.

Bacuna moved to Rangers from Huddersfield in August.

But the 24-year-old has struggled for first-team football.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst now looks set to allow his fellow Dutchman to leave Ibrox.

Bacuna netted his only Rangers goal in a win over Ross County in November and has made 12 appearances since being signed by Gerrard.
