Paul Ince, centre, has been charged with three counts of misconduct

But charges brought against his assistant Alex Rae were found to be not proven.

Ince was found to be guilty of breaching three FA rules after throwing a water bottle in frustration that hit a female steward on the leg.

He apologised to the woman, but argued with the referee after being sent to the stands.

An FA statement said: "Ince appeared before a Regulatory Commission on Monday after he was charged with three breaches of FA Rule E3, which occurred in or around the tunnel following his side's game at AFC Bournemouth on Saturday, 14 September 2013.

"The charges were that Ince; used abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official; his behaviour towards a match official constituted violent conduct; and that he used threatening words and/or behaviour towards a match official."
