For Celtic meanwhile, victory would put them in an almost unassailable position in the Premiership table - and the Hoops have been in sparkling form of late, netting five goals before half-time in a rout of Ross County on Saturday, and having not suffered a defeat on league business since losing to Hearts in March. In fact the only blot on their copybook so far this campaign came against the Dons, in a breathless 2-2 draw at Celtic Park in October.

Aberdeen are sweating on the fitness of first-choice goalkeeper Dimitir Mitov. The Bulgarian international was subbed off at half-time in Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Hearts at Tynecastle with a suspected hamstring injury. He was replaced by deputy, Ross Doohan who could now face his former club after coming through the ranks at Parkhead. Pape Habib Gueye remains out of action having been sidelined since September with a quad injury.
As for Celtic, well it seems like Brendan Rodgers has a clean bill of health after his heavily rotated squad came through Saturday's thumping 5-0 win over Ross County unscathed.
