What channel is Florida vs. Virginia on today? Time, TV schedule for Orange Bowl

Sporting News

No. 6 Florida and Virginia face off in the Orange Bowl on Monday, the fourth of the New Year's Day 6 bowls, after the Cotton Bowl and College Football Playoff semifinal games.

Florida (10-2, 6-2 SEC) earned its Orange Bowl bid as the highest-ranked team out of the SEC, Big Ten and Notre Dame that wasn't already tied to the Playoff or Sugar and Rose bowls. Quarterback Kyle Trask has ably led the Gators to their second straight 10-win season, but it's the defense, with its SEC-leading 46 sacks, that has had the greatest impact this season, helping Dan Mullen reach a New Year's 6 bowl in just his second season in Gainesville.

The Cavaliers (9-4, 6-3 ACC) made the Orange Bowl as the runner-up in the ACC, as conference champion Clemson is instead in the Playoff. Regardless, Virginia's 9-4 campaign is the best of Bronco Mendenhall's tenure in Charlottesville. His team is led by ever-dangerous quarterback Bryce Perkins, who not only has 3,215 passing yards and 18 touchdowns to 11 interceptions, but also is the team's leading rusher with 745 yards.
