The new season begins with new rules and a repeat of last year’s All-Ireland final with Galway hosting champions Armagh in the first game of the 2025 campaign.
The Orchard County lifted the Sam Maguire for the second time in their history with a one-point victory in Croke Park.

The Tribesmen will feel that was one that got away from them and there has been little to separate the two teams in recent League and Championship clashes.
With the absence of the pre-season competitions, this will also be Galway and Armagh’s first competitive fixture under the new playing rules and both teams have an abundance of quality shooters who could take advantage of the new two-point rule for shots outside the 40-metre arc.
