Manager Chris Powell believes back-to-back promotions are a distinct possibility for Charlton after the London club secured a return to the Championship.

The Addicks, who have led npower League One for much of the campaign, secured promotion on Saturday with a 1-0 victory at Carlisle.

Looking ahead to next season, Powell thinks Charlton are capable of emulating Norwich who won the League One title and then gained promotion to the Premier League the following year.

Following the game at Brunton Park, he said: "I'm sure the board will be thinking we can look at the other clubs that have made the step up, with Norwich being one and Southampton being very close now.

"It's about what sort of football club we are we. We might able to emulate them but we've got to do what we've got to do."
