It's been another exciting year for Pokémon and the Pokémon TCG. The game joined the franchise in stepping into the world of Scarlet & Violet with the debut of the new TCG series going down back in March. Since then, the launch of Obsidian Flames was followed by the much-anticipated release of Scarlet & Violet–151. In celebration of 151's release, Hypebeast sat down with Barry Sams, VP of Pokémon TCG, to discuss the magic behind the game. Now, the latest expansion of the series, Paradox Rift, has officially launched.
A complete overview of the set's new cards has been shared, with a total of 49 new special illustration cards featured. Looking closer at the artwork involved, highlights spotlight everything from diving under the sea with Mantyke to dishing up ice cream with Vanillish. Contextualizing these Pokémon in everyday settings, you'll see Steelix working at a construction site and Garbodor hanging out at a landfill. Both Gimmighoul and Gholdengo make their debut in the game alongside the new Ancient and Future Pokémon such as Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant. Per usual, various familiar trainers are also featured with fun artwork.
Pokémon TCG: Paradox Rift is available now via the Pokémon Center, select retailers and local card shops with packs priced at just over $4 USD each. For a complete breakdown of the set's new cards, be sure to check out the official card list.
