Liverpool might have played its final match under Jürgen Klopp and the players might have headed off on holiday, but there is still plenty happening behind the scenes at Anfield. Plans for the summer have long been being pulled together.

Even though Liverpool is heading for a new era without Klopp, it is still a lot more stable than many of the sides around the top flight. Chelsea is set to change manager again, while Manchester United, The Guardian reports, will fire Erik ten Hag regardless of the result in tomorrow's FA Cup final.

Chelsea ace 'moves closer to exit' after Liverpool links

It could be another summer of chaos for Chelsea. After parting ways with Mauricio Pochettino, it remains to be seen which way the Blues will turn next and they have some big transfer decisions looming once again.

Intriguingly, the Evening Standard reports that while Pochettino was a big advocate of Conor Gallagher, the Argentine's departure could mean the midfielder moves on this summer. Because he is homegrown, he would count as pure profit on the accounts which makes him a more appealing player to move on.

Chelsea writer Simon Phillips has previously reported (in his Substack) that Liverpool has been interested in Gallagher, while the ECHO also reported that he was an option under consideration last summer. Emmet Gates has the full story if you click here.

Liverpool could sign another Sadio Mané this summer

Reds legend Robbie Fowler has suggested that Liverpool should sign Alexander Isak this summer, but there might be another Newcastle United forward who fits in better.

Anthony Gordon, according to the Daily Star, is another player that is on the radar of Liverpool this summer and Matt Addison believes that he would be the best fit out of the two. Gordon could even become the new version of Sadio Mané.

Liverpool needs to become a bit more ruthless in the final third next season to reach the next level under Arne Slot. You can click here to read the full story.
