Chelsea ace sends scary Cole Palmer prediction in Premier League warning as Enzo Maresca thanked
Chelsea defender Levi Colwill believes the "scary thing" is that Cole Palmer "can go on a level yet" after his stunning start to life in west London. Signed from Man City in the summer of 2023, the 22-year-old registered an incredible 25 goals and 15 assists in his 45 appearances in all competitions for the Blues during his debut campaign.
Forcing his way into the England squad and scoring in the final of Euro 2024 against Spain, the attacker has carried his form into the new campaign and so far has six goals and four assists to his name from only eight outings under Enzo Maresca. Four of those goals came last Saturday in a remarkable display in the 4-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Maresca and Chelsea undoubtedly have a star on their hands in Palmer and he could prove to be the difference this season as the team look to move back into the top four and also challenge for silverware. Colwill has made it clear that the ex-Man City youngster helps the Chelsea team so much and that there is still even more to come from him.
"Cole's an amazing player," explained the Blues defender when speaking to Chelsea's official website. "The best players in football have that bit of magic to pull you out of sticky situations. He did that against Brighton, he helped us turn the game around with four big goals. He helps us so much and he certainly did in this game to help us get the three points.
"Cole is a massive player for us. Look at him against Brighton - he scores out of nothing and he turns half chances into goals. He's a really special player and we all know that he can go on a level yet, which is the scary thing."

While of course Palmer will continue to dominate the headlines due to the heroics he produces in the final third for Chelsea, Colwill has played a big part in the team's strong start to the season with some impressive displays at the back. The Chelsea academy graduate believes the appointment of Maresca has certainly helped his game.
"I'm really happy with my form so far this season and I put a lot of that down to the gaffer," revealed Colwill. "He’s given me a lot of confidence and he's put a lot of trust in me to play my football. He wants me to start attacks from the back and having that trust makes me feel a big part of how we want to play.
"I want to thank him for giving the opportunities to play and for allowing me to play my football in the way I feel I'm good at. He's always pushing me and I'm really enjoy working under him."
