Chelsea 'agree' another Premier League transfer with £30m fee obligation set
Chelsea have agreed a transfer that will see Armando Broja leave the club on an initial loan deal.
Various reports claim that the forward is set to join newly-promoted Ipswich Town on loan, with an obligation to buy should they remain in the Premier League at the end of the season. It is reported that the obligation would see the Tractor Boys pay a fee of just over £30 million next summer.
Broja is one of the players who has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer. The 22-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with Premier League side Fulham.
He however failed to find the back of the net in any of his eight appearances for the club, with all of his minutes coming off the bench. He scored twice for Chelsea in the first half of the season, with one of his strikes coming against Fulham in a 2-0 win.
Broja was one of the players who were told to train away from Chelsea’s first team in the build-up to the season as he searched for a move away from the club. His future seemed to be sealed when he was left off the squad list on the back of the opening matchday programme against Manchester City.
Broja has been permitted to undergo a medical at Ipswich. He will look to help the team bounce back from opening-day defeat against Liverpool in Saturday’s early kick-off and could make his debut when Ipswich take on Man City at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Broja’s exit could signal the start of somewhat of a fire sale for Chelsea in the final weeks of the transfer window. Raheem Sterling, Ben Chilwell, Romelu Lukaku, David Datro Fofana are among the big list of players who could leave the club before the August 30 deadline. Broja would join Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall and Michael Golding in leaving Chelsea for Premier League sides this summer, while Pedro Neto, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Tosin Adarabioyo and Omari Kellyman joined from top-flight rivals.
