Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois says Eden Hazard must follow him wherever he goes this summer

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois says wherever he should end up come the start of the new season, compatriot Eden Hazard must go with him.

The Blues duo both played in Belgium’s 2-0 win over England in the World Cup third place play-off on Saturday, following which Hazard admitted he could leave Stamford Bridge this summer.

Courtois has often spoken of a return to Madrid, where his children still live, and Hazard hinted at Real Madrid being his preferred destination.

The goalkeeper said he will take the time off before returning to London to decide on his future, but that Hazard must follow him wherever he goes.

"Wherever I go, Hazard must come along. We will not let each other go. We'll see. Now first vacation. And agree with my entourage in between.” Courtois said.

"Now I'm going to talk to my manager to see what the possibilities are.

"All options are open to me. Also stay at Chelsea, yes. People always complain that players do not comply with their contracts, but maybe I will.
