Football friends Eden Hazard and Willian showcased their off-the-field chemistry as they giggled their way through a light-hearted post-match interview just minutes after they combined to put Huddersfield to the sword on Tuesday evening.

Antonio Conte's side bounced back from Saturday's shock defeat to relegation-threatened West Ham to consolidate their hold on third place in the Premier League with a 3-1 win at the John Smith Stadium.

Goals from Tiemoue Bakayoko, Pedro and Willian were enough to secure victory before Laurent Depoitre picked up a consolation for the hosts.

Despite scoring and laying on two assists at the John Smith Stadium, BT Sport pundits decided to name Hazard as the man of the match.

When Willian was asked to present his teammate with the award, Hazard pushed it back into the Brazilian's hands, saying: "No, it's for you."

The generous gesture did not go unnoticed by Chelsea fans watching their heron television.

"How can someone so good be so humble?," tweeted one Chelsea fan while another wrote: "Eden Hazard was given the MOTM award tonight by BT Sport... He turns to Willian and says 'No no, here we go my friend. This is yours, you deserve it.' What. A. Man!"

Antonio Conte recently admitted he fears his small squad could struggle over the busy festive period, but Hazard has insisted he and his teammates are ready to deal with the rigours of Christmas in the Premier League.

"We have a lot of games in a short period. Last year we didn’t have this because we weren’t in the Champions League, but since I came to Chelsea, for six years now it has been the same.

"We can deal with that. We have a lot of players. Of course you want to rest a little bit more, but it’s not possible.

"We had a bad game against West Ham. When things happen like this we need to bounce back. We did that, and we scored three goals. I think the fans are happy, we are happy, so now let’s move forward for the game against Southampton at Stamford Bridge."
