Chelsea are looking to claim their first silverware of the Thomas Tuchel era as they take on a Leicester side looking to cap a superb season with a trophy in today’s FA Cup final at Wembley.

Since replacing Frank Lampard midway through the campaign, Tuchel has transformed the Blues’ season and today’s final is the first of two chances to claim a title, with a Champions League showdown with Manchester City to come.

Leicester, meanwhile, have bcome more and more established among the Premier League elite under Brendan Rodgers and have the chance to win their first piece of silverware since their incredible shock Premier League success in 2016.

There is an extra spice to the fixture, given that the two sides are scheduled to meet again in the Premier League just a few days later, in a match that will be crucial to both sides’ hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.

Date, kick-off time and venue

The FA Cup final is scheduled for a 5:15pm kick-off on Saturday, May 16, 2021.

The game will be played at Wembley Stadium in front of a limited crowd of around 21,000 fans as part of the Government’s pilot scheme for the return of crowds to sporting venues.

Thomas Tuchel was left furious after his side lost to Arsenal in midweek to throw the race for the top four open again, but perhaps that will prove the wake up call his Chelsea side need, having been showered with so much praise in recent weeks.
