Chelsea forward Mason Mount and Fulham midfielder Tayo Edun were both on target as England Under-19s beat Norway 3-0 in their European Championships qualifier on Wednesday.

Stamford Bridge youngster Mount opened the scoring for the Young Lions at St George's Park, netting from close range in the first half of the Elite Round tie.

Edun then scored soon after the interval with a ferocious left-footed drive which rose into the net from 20 yards out, while West Brom's Sam Field wrapped up the tie ahead of Friday's crunch clash against Spain.

Sessegnon - whose recent fine performances have drawn the attention of a number of Premier League clubs - impressed during his 73 minutes on the pitch, almost adding a fourth as his stock continues to rise.

England's senior side are in action later on Wednesday in Dortmund as they face world champions Germany at Borussia Dortmund's Westfalenstadion.

Gareth Southgate will be well aware of the U19s' fate given his faith in young players as former manager of the Three Lions' U21s.
