If Chelsea can't complete a last-minute deal for either Jadon Sancho or Victor Osimhen, Paul Winstanley and Laurence Stewart have a few emergency options on the market. The duo have been heavily linked with moves to Stamford Bridge on deadline day as Enzo Maresca makes a last-ditch effort to strengthen his frontline.

This summer, the Blues have forked out almost £250m on new players – many of which were forwards. Despite wrapping up deals for Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and Marc Guiu, Sancho and Osimhen remain targets in the final hours of the window.

Not only are Chelsea in a race against time to secure their signatures, but they must also offload a few wantaway stars. So, with that being said, football.london have looked at three free agents that Chelsea could sign if they can't get their hands on a forward before the window slams shut.

Memphis Depay

Depay featured 23 times for Atletico Madrid in La Liga last season, scoring five goals and providing one assist. Despite playing a bit-part role in Diego Simeone's side, the 30-year-old forward helped the Spanish giants finish fourth and secure Champions League qualification.

He also helped Atletico Madrid reach the semi-final of the Copa Del Rey, recording an assist against Real Madrid in the round of 16 and netting against Sevilla in the quarter-final. Depay showed glimpses of great promise during his spell at the Cívitas Metropolitano, but the Spanish club decided against extending his deal in the summer.

Anthony Martial

Martial only featured 13 times for Manchester United in the Premier League last season, scoring one goal. He struggled to force himself back into Erik ten Hag's matchday squad after picking up an injury shortly before the New Year.

The 28-year-old striker has not lived up to expectations for some time but, if Chelsea get desperate, it could be worth a gamble. Ultimately, Martial is one of the biggest names currently available on the free agent market.

Iker Muniain

Munain could be a neat signing. The 31-year-old winger featured 20 times for Athletic Bilbao in La Liga last season – albeit only starting five games – scoring two goals.

Despite playing such a small role for Ernesto Valverde's side on the pitch, his experience was invaluable off it. Munain helped the Basque club finish fifth in the Spanish top flight and secure Europa League qualification.

The Spain international also led Los Leones to Copa del Rey glory, ending a run of six successive final defeats in the competition and a 40-year trophy drought.
