Ajax and Feyenoord both have a keen interest in signing Chelsea winger Omari Hutchinson on a permanent basis, football.london understands.

The 20-year-old winger lit up the Championship last season to help Ipswich Town gain promotion to the Premier League for the first time in 22 years. In 44 appearances for the Tractor Boys in the league, Hutchinson was directly involved in 16 goals - scoring 10 and assisting six times.

The Jamaica international is currently away on holiday but will discuss his future with Chelsea in the coming weeks. And it is understood that whoever the Blues appoint as the club's new head coach will be crucial in Hutchinson's definitive decision.

Chelsea are interested in Kieran McKenna, the Ipswich boss, who worked with Hutchinson last season. football.london understands the Blues have contacted the Tractor Boys over a potential move for the 38-year-old, who is one of the most highly-regarded young coaches in English football right now.

Hutchinson has spoken glowingly about McKenna and his style of management in a recent interview. The freedom to express himself is something the Jamaican really enjoyed during his time at Portman Road.

"Sometimes when you come into the team as a sub, the manager [McKenna] tells you we need a different dynamic," Hutchinson explained. "A skilful player that's going to get at your man and who can go both ways.

"For me, personally, I enjoy that. I like to entertain the crowd, and the manager gives you that freedom."

Ipswich have also expressed an interest in taking Hutchinson on loan once again, football.london understands, but will have their work cut out with Ajax and Feyenoord now expressing their fondness of the winger.

As reported earlier in the year, Hutchinson's entourage were very confident of Chelsea offering him an extension on his contract that is due to expire in just over 12 months' time. However, the winger will now assess his options due to the uncertainty over who will replace Mauricio Pochettino as the club's head coach.
