New Chelsea owner Todd Boehly will act as the interim sporting director at Stamford Bridge as he takes charge of the club's summer transfer dealings.
The American magnate has also been confirmed as the new chairman, following Bruce Buck's recent decision to step down and move into a senior advisory position.
Chelsea will also lose Marina Granovskaia who is stepping down from her directorship after almost two decades at Stamford Bridge.
The Russian-Canadian business executive rose to prominence as one of the toughest negotiators in football. Since 2014, she has worked as the chief executive and has delivered a number of high-profile transfers. A statement from Chelsea read: "Boehly will operate as interim sporting director until the club names a full-time replacement, continuing the club's work towards its targets during the current transfer window. "We thank Marina for her many years of excellent service to the club and wish her all the best in her future ventures."
