Chelsea has returned to the top of the Conference League table after maintaining their 100% record with a 2-0 away win against Heidenheim.

Christopher Nkunku put the Blues ahead early in the second half after being picked out inside the penalty area by a Jadon Sancho cross. Sancho also set up Mykhaylo Mudryk to double the advantage late on to ensure the victory for Enzo Maresca 's team, albeit Cesare Casadei was sent off deep into added-time after receiving a second yellow card.

Chelsea can now focus on a three-game week of Premier League fixtures, which is the case across the board for those in the top-flight. football.london has the upcoming fixture list for those four teams detailed below.

December 12 vs Astana (A) at 3.30pm - Conference League

December 15 vs Brentford (H) at 7pm - Premier League

football.london verdict: Chelsea have a chance to extend their unbeaten streak to nine matches after avoiding defeat throughout November. The upcoming three-game week poses the biggest challenge to that, though, with games against two top-half-of-the-table teams in Villa and Spurs separated by a trip to Southampton.

Maresca has used the Conference League to rotate his team, but he will be the one to watch whether that approach extends to midweek Premier League matches. Southampton showed in defeat to Liverpool that they are far from resigned to relegation after also giving Arsenal and Manchester City a scare on their travels in October.
