Chelsea stance over Alejandro Garnacho transfer deadline day move as two deals completed
It is that time of the year yet again - transfer deadline day is upon us. And for Chelsea, it is set to be a really busy final day as the club look to get a number of deals done before the clock strikes 11pm.
The Blues are yet to make a signing over the mid-season window but that could change by the end of the day. Chelsea remain interested in Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, football.london understands, and a move on deadline day is by no means out of the equation at the time of writing.
While there is interest from the Blues in the 20-year-old wide man, there are not any advanced negotiations as of yet. Chelsea were interested in Bayern Munich youngster Mathys Tel but a deal was too complicated for the west Londoners to pull off in the end - meaning there is a possibility the club revisit the Garnacho situation.

There is a chance Chelsea act when it comes to bringing in a left-sided winger before 11pm. Elsewhere, if any opportunities present themselves, then the Blues will not hesitate in making any late moves as the club's sporting directors look to help out head coach Enzo Maresca for the remainder of the season.
There could be a number of outgoings at Stamford Bridge before the deadline. Carney Chukwuemeka is set to move to Borussia Dortmund on loan until the end of the campaign, football.london understands. The 21-year-old is expected to complete a temporary move to the Black and Yellow in the coming hours as he looks to play more regular first-team football.
Maresca has been very public and transparent about Chukwuemeka's situation - telling the midfielder he needs to leave the west London club should he want more time on the pitch. The same has been said to Ben Chilwell, who could depart the Blues before tonight's deadline.
Chilwell is set to have a medical at Crystal Palace today ahead of a six-month loan move to Selhurst Park, football.london understands. The English left-back, signed for £45million from Leicester City in 2020, has played just 45 minutes in all competitions this season for the Blues and is not part of Maresca's plans.
Axel Disasi is another player that could be on his way out of SW6 today. The Frenchman has been a bit-part player for Chelsea this season and Tottenham are the latest club to be linked with signing the defender with Ange Postecoglou's ongoing injury crisis. Aston Villa and Wolves have both expressed an interest in Disasi, football.london understands.
Villa are also interested in Joao Felix, with Unai Emery a huge admirer of the Portugal international, but will face competition from AC Milan in the final hours of the transfer window. Chelsea are said to have a £60m valuation of Felix and Villa are unwilling to meet the asking price. It is a figure that could also price Milan out of a move today.
