Djorde Petrovic has made it perfectly clear he would like to see Chelsea sign Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig this summer. The Slovenia international is of interest to several Premier League clubs with Arsenal and Manchester United also eyeing a summer swoop.

With Victor Osimhen and Alexander Isak deemed too expensive by many teams looking for a new striker, Sesko's €65million (£55m) release clause explains part of the appeal. The 20-year-old has also enjoyed another great season in front of goal with goal number 18 a stunning strike that arrived on the final day of the season against Eintracht Frankfurt.

Following on from that, Leipzig were understandably keen to try and keep Sesko at the club beyond the summer and have thus began new contract talks. Despite the summer window not being open for a few more weeks, Sesko looks to have already made a big decision about where his future may lie.

According to the Mirror, Sesko prefers a summer transfer to Arsenal over any other interested club. While that will certainly dent Chelsea's hopes, Petrovic may be a solution for the Blues to secure Sesko's signature at the expense of their domestic rivals.

When asked about Sesko and the links to Chelsea, he told Nogomania : "I know [about the rumours] and have been following him. He’s having a good half-season, he’s in great scoring form. "I read that he’s scored in his last seven matches in a row. He seems to have gained strong momentum for the Euros. He’s a forward who has everything a modern player needs. He’s tall, strong, fast and intelligent.

"I’ve watched some of his matches. Of course he can play in the Premier League. Absolutely! He has great potential and he’s been successfully proving it in recent months."

Man United have also been linked with Sesko in recent months despite signing young forward Rasmus Hojlund last summer. Just a few weeks ago, the players' agent was spotted at Old Trafford for the clash between United and Arsenal with the latter's victory perhaps telling in his final transfer decision.
