Chelsea star Jadon Sancho shows true colours to Jurgen Klopp with one-word message after transfer
Jadon Sancho has shown mutual respect for former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp after his move to Chelsea was put under the microscope by the German boss. It comes after Sancho completed a deadline day loan move to Stamford Bridge.
After three years of struggle at Manchester United, Sancho is expected to complete a permanent move to Chelsea next summer as well. Klopp, who was in charge at Dortmund for seven years, all before Sancho moved from Manchester City, has been keen to deflect the blame away from the player, though.
"If the whole world loses trust and faith in the player, the manager has to be the one behind the player," Klopp said, speaking before Sancho had officially left United. "I cannot just buy into that ‘he's useless,’ like other clubs did by the way - buying a player for £80million and then sending him out on loan!"
Sancho himself has shown excitement about being offered a new chance to impress in the Premier League. "Can't wait to get started!" he wrote on Instagram after the deal was announced.
Now Sancho has spoken directly to Klopp. Commenting under a video of the 57-year-old doing his trademark celebration in front of the Dortmund 'yellow wall' at Signal Iduna Park, Sancho simply put, "Legend!".
Klopp made his return to Dortmund over the weekend for a testimonial for two of his previous stars. Lukasz Piszczek and Jakub Blaszczykowski, who played almost 500 games combined under Klopp, were both celebrating their stellar careers in Germany.

The pair played in a star-studded match overseen by Klopp's management. Nuri Sahin (current Dortmund head coach), Henrikh Mkhitaryan, sporting director Sebastian Kehl, popular goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller, and fan favourites Neven Subotic and Sokratis all played too.
For Sancho, it was another show of his affection for Dortmund, where he went some way to reviving his career during the second half of last season. The 24-year-old featured 21 times on loan, scoring and assisting three times on the way to helping Dortmund to the Champions League final.
Chelsea will be keen to see the Sancho of Dortmund unleashed at SW6. Klopp's words suggest he thinks it less down to the player and more the atmosphere at United that he seen him drop off.
