Chelsea star Noni Madueke fires furious response after public £51m transfer plea
Chelsea winger Noni Madueke has taken it upon himself to address comments made about him online following a run of just one Premier League goal in eight games. Starting all but the opening day defeat against Manchester City, Madueke is currently having his best streak of appearances for the club.
Despite getting the trust of Enzo Maresca on the right flank, aided by Cole Palmer's movement into the No.10 spot more regularly, Madueke has recently struggled to turn performances into goals. Offering plenty of one-on-one threat for defenders, he is yet to assist for a teammate either.
Madueke has locked down his spot for now, with Jadon Sancho and Pedro Neto battling it out on the left for the final attacking spot. However, his form in front of goal was picked up by one TikTok user.
Yusuf (account, yusuf2x._), brands himself as 'Madueke's private hater' on the popular short-form video content app, and was left far from impressed by his display against Manchester United on Sunday. "I can't be the first person to point this out," he said in a TikTok post on Monday afternoon, "how Madueke has been stinking up the place as of recent.
"Ever since that hat-trick against Wolves, please tell me one thing he's done since then. And you can't even call this reactionary. Last week he got pocketed by Lewis Hall; this week by [Noussair] Mazraoui, who's not even a left-back. What is this?
"I think this is all because this guy is getting too comfortable being a starter. This guy needs to touch the bench. But don't worry, don't worry, we got a staboy coming next year. Madueke, your time is coming. You better start acting up because the next coming of Neymar is on the way."

Referring to Brazilian teenage wonderkid Estevao Willian, the online user - who has picked out Madueke for criticism in other videos - was quickly called out by Chelsea's No.11. "[Crying with laughter face emojis] broo next time you want a picture speak up a bit don't be shy [sneezing emoji]" he responded below the video.
Only Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson have more goals than Madueke in the league this season for Chelsea, but three of those came in one half away to Molineux. That was Madueke's first start of the season after coming from the bench to score three days earlier in the Conference League play-off tie against Servette.
Since then, Madueke has only managed one goal, albeit a crucial one as he levelled in the home draw to Nottingham Forest last month. He is also in the England fold under caretaker boss Lee Carsley.
Come 2025, though, Madueke will face added competition from Estevao and Kendry Paez, whom Chelsea have signed from South America. The pair are both due to join up with the club next summer. The two teenagers have been performing exceptionally at Independiente del Valle and Palmeiras, respectively.
Estevao, especially, is putting up incredible numbers. He was the higher-profile of the two additions, signing for what could rise to over £51million. That would be more than Madueke himself cost Chelsea in January 2023. For now, the 22-year-old remains firmly in his spot regardless of online noise.
