Alvaro Morata has had plenty to celebrate since swapping Real Madrid for Chelsea.

The Spanish international has hit the ground running since moving to Stamford Bridge for a club-record transfer fee in the summer.

He has netted eight times in his first 11 Premier League outings for the Blues to justify his hefty £70million price tag.

Morata was on target again this weekend as Antonio Conte’s champions thrashed West Brom to heap pressure on Baggies boss Tony Pulis.

He has made a habit of marking each strike with a trademark routine after the ball hits the back of the net.

Wheeling away and making an inverted V sign with two fingers, Morata then imitates an archer with a gesture that is taken from former Chelsea striker Fernando Torres’ celebration book.

But while the Torres impression is there for all to see, the two-finger salute remained a mystery until the goal machine took to Instagram to reveal all.

After the West Brom victory, Morata revealed that it was a reference to his wife Alice, writing on the social networking site: “Always A I love u so much.”

Chelsea chief Conte, who worked hard to sign Morata for Juventus in his previous club management job, is pleased with how he is fitting into the team.

Always A I love u so much @alicecampello ❤️

“We performed very well,” Conte said after the game. “Morata and Hazard have a great link, they are now 100% fit.

“It is easy to forget that we started the season without Hazard… I played and I understand when you are against these types of players it is difficult to stop them, you try to find a different way to stop them.”
