New Chelsea signings Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech have been snapped in training with their new team-mates as preparations for the 2020-21 campaign continue.

The signatures of both Werner and Ziyech were confirmed before last season's delayed campaign reached its conclusion as Frank Lampard splashed a combined £80m+ to freshen up his squad.

The Blues are building up to another Champions League campaign after crucially sealing a top-four spot last term, and Lampard is embarking on an unprecedented spree to ensure Chelsea make a real go of it this term.

The Chelsea boss is poised to add Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell and Kai Havertz to his team in the coming days with the club's summer spend set to rocket past the £200m-mark. There is still a chance he will add competition for Kepa Arrizabalaga before the transfer window shuts, while free agent Malang Sarr has been linked with a move to the Bridge.

New boys Werner and Ziyech joined Cesar Azpilicueta, who was injured in the FA Cup Final defeat to Arsenal earlier this month, as pre-season got under way at Cobham on Monday. The Blues will play a number of internal pre-season friendlies against local opposition with just three weeks to go until the start of the new top flight campaign.
